Chapter 4 of A Winter's Spirit, A Winter's Tale is up!

(Sorry -- I will be better about cross-posting in future.)

Summary: Steve has come to spend a quiet winter in a distant farmhouse in Sweden. The farm comes with a cat, goats -- and a tomte, the spirit of the first farmer to settle in the land. You can guess what happens next.

(In all incarnations, Bucky is good with goats, it turns out.)

Writing Rundown - Week ending Dec 16

Oh gosh, I haven’t done one of these in awhile! But I want to start putting down what I’ve worked on, what’s in progress, etc.

A Winter Spirit, A Winter’s Tale: Put up Chapter 4 today. That’s all I’ve written up to, and it’s getting to be time to settle down and actually figure out where this story is going, and start outlining story beats.

Unnamed Scifi Thing: I started writing this aaaages ago and have kind of ignored it in favor of Winter Spirit, but I think it benefits from that. I wanted to write a 70′s scifi thing, weird and wonderful, and it’s mostly comics!Bucky and Steve and hm, time to re-read and do some edits.

Unnamed Trope-a-palooza: I literally thought this up this morning, because hey, why not just cram every trope I can think of into a single story. So far I know how it begins, and this is what I’ve got: Modern AU, no powers, Florist Steve, Programmer Bucky  (I can’t inflict a coffee shop on anyone sorry), ‘oops i hit you with my car’ (variation, I recognize Uber drivers must come from somewhere but I still don’t understand private car ownership in NYC), friends to lovers, maybe enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, h/c, long-lost friends reunited, super queer artistic Steve, Bucky the Science Genius, both of them asexual (i just wanna write an asexual love story i know it’s not remotely common enough to be a trope), There’s Only One Bed, amnesia (temporary), mutual pining and probably Share A Bed For Warmth. There will be others, but that’s first couple chapters, definitely!

Guys, I love writing tropes.

Two Strike Gold pieces: ugh I KNOW but I re-read the whole thing and wanted more about right after they all got together so yeah. These have like two sentences each but they exist, so whatever.
